He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nichols and Louise Nichols (Erickson); and his brother Mark Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Francine Nichols (Foradas); his son Griff Nichols (Caitlin); his grandchildren, Gavin, Ellie and Morgan; his daughters, Betsy Nichols and Emily Nichols; his stepchildren, Steven Peter Poulos and Elenie Grasos (Vasili); his stepgrandchildren, Mario, Stefanos, Patrikia, Thanassi, Nektarios and Pavlo Grassos; his stepdaughter Dr. Despina Melissa Poulos; his stepgranddaughter Zoe Charles; and his cousins, Steve Korba, Jill Little, Hal Ewing (Linda), Dawn Schmitz, Tom Shea and Rick Oberlin.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church (251 25th St NW, Canton, OH 44709). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church or the Parkinson's Foundation in Michael's name.
