He was predeceased by : his father Millard Joseph Wood. He is survived by : his mother Myrtle Wood (Waller); his sister Marsha "Monnie" Wood; his wife Jill M. Wood (Stevens); his children, Millard J. Wood III of Charlotte, Mylan A. Thomas (Jessica) of Louisville, Mylez X. Wood of Cleveland, Mercedez S. Wood of Columbus and Jilynn Birdsong of Canton; his stepsons, James A. Hawkins of Canton and Channing O. Hawkins of Canton; his sister Michele A. Wood; his grandchildren, Millard J. Wood IV, Mikayla M. Wood, Mylan A. Thomas II, Malorie Thomas, Ayonna Hawkins, Jayce Hawkins, Jordyn Hawkins, Jaden Hawkins and Yara Hawkins; his nieces, Montoya Wood, Marcheena Rhoden, Markeisha Wood and MyLeka S. Wood; and his great-nieces, Me'Khia Wood, Michele Cano and Miyah Johnson. He is also survived by other great nieces, great nephews, family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St Paul AME Church (1800 Tuscarawas St E, Canton, OH 44707).
