She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth F. Ash and Ruth P. Ash (Bambeck); her husband Charles F. Groves Jr.; and her sister Elizabeth Ash. She is survived by: her siblings, Jane Lemnitzer, Kenneth F Ash Jr. (Connie) and Margorie Stafford (Bud); her children, Julia Mueller (Michael Osborne), Janet Darrah (Ron), Charles Groves (Ruthann), Joyce Ichikawa and Frederick Groves (Jennifer); her grandchildren, April DiSanza, Adam Oxier, Nicole Oxier, Anna Darrah, Anthony Darrah, Shizuyo Ichikawa-Ha (Michael), Kiyotoshi Ichikawa (Melissa), Mitsuyo Ichikawa, Madeline Groves and Alexander Groves; and her great grandchildren, Kylie, Natalie, Dalton, Ruby, Kairi, Aria and Kenji.
She also treasured the lasting friendships she maintained, meeting monthly with her nursing classmates until the COVID pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that charitable donations be made in Nancy's memory to the American Red Cross, an organization close to her heart.
