He is survived by: his wife Candace Stroud; his children, Devin Stroud, Phillip Stroud and Joseph Thornton (Chelsea); his grandchildren, Mia Thornton and Jordyn Thornton; his stepgrandson Donovan Grazen; his siblings, Judy Smith (Tyrone), Alfred Stroud and Kenneth Stroud (Donna); his cousins, Michael Torrence, Larry Torrence, Kevin Torrence, Keith Torrence and Natalie Torrence; his close friends, Kevin Barrino, Victor Wells, Darnell Wells and Kevin Nash; and his friends, Dave Wilder, Londyn Grogan, Eddie Andrews, Steve McKinney and Mike Everly. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Mount Olive Baptist Church (1403 13th St SE, Canton, OH 44707). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
