He is survived by: his sons, Darrick Eakin (Holly) and Nicholas Eakin; his stepdaughter Crystal Burgess; his siblings, Thomas Eakin (Kathy), Mark Eakin (Jane), Kathleen Shingleton (Dwayne) and Dorothy Schandel (Donald); his stepsiblings, Charlotte Shenkle (Bruce) and Earl Best (Janet); his grandson Steele Eakin; and his stepgrandson Rushon Patterson II. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
