He was predeceased by : his father William Hodell; and his sisters, Martha Gilbert and Wanda McGinnis. He is survived by : his daughters, Renee MacLeod and Debbie Barker (Lex); his close friends, Earl, Karen Crawford and Diana Gum; his sister Judith Marhover (Richard); his grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, Lindsay, Cameron, Ella and Alex; his great grandchildren, Brooke and Max; and his pet Jackson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 29th 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stier-Israel Funeral Home (917 E Main St, Louisville, OH 44641). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 29th 2022 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
