We announce the death of Robert Horst of Canton, Ohio, who passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 89. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Janet; his parents, John Horst and Hazel Horst; and his sisters, Nancy McMillan and Carol Skipper.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Shaheen (Joe), Sharon Horst and Tom Horst (Leslie); his grandsons, Jason Horst (Sara), Justin Horst (Ashley) and Mike Shaheen (Meagan); and his great grandchildren, Myra, Emma Horst, Austin, Mallory, Logan Horst, Landon and Silas Shaheen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed for a water well in Sonny's name to Valued Life (for water well in Nigeria), mailed to St. Michaels, 3904 36th St. N.W., Canton, OH 44718.
