We are sad to announce that, on January 2, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Ruth Gerber-Hall (Canton, Ohio), born in Kermit, West Virginia. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jarrell and Minnie Jarrell (Herbert); her husband Joe E. Gerber; her former husband Ivan Hall Sr.; her son Richard Gerber; her siblings, Henry Jarrell, Ruby Beach and Hazel Jarrell; and her daughter-in-law Diana Gerber.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Canel (Robert), Gary Gerber (Darlene) and Timothy Gerber (Joyce); her daughter-in-law Sandy English (David); her stepchildren, Ivan Hall, Jr. and Eleanor Glosser; and her sisters, Irene Jarrell and Thelma Mauter. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

“To Ruth’s family, I am so sorry for your loss! I had the sweet privilege of meeting Ruth while I was in Hattie’s House Rehab in December. I ate with her a number of times and enjoyed her company so very much. I also had the privilege of sharing my guests that came to sing Christmas Carols to me with Ruth and her family. One day I asked her if I could take her picture and she said sure. I cherish the time spent with her! Here is that picture. Patty Vaughn”
