He was predeceased by: his parents, Andreas Fillis and Vasiliki Fillis; and his wife Anastasia Fillis (Fillis). He is survived by: his sons, Andrew Fillis (Katie), Peter Fillis and Steven Fillis (Effie); and his grandchildren, Drew, Leah, Teddy and Ann.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church in his memory.
