He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gaa and Catherine Gaa (Dotters); his wife Barbara Gaa; his brother George Gaa; his siblings-in-law, Charles VanArsdale and Judy Tucker (Thomas); and his nieces and nephews, Debbie, Jason, Tammy, Davy, Tyler and Buster.
He is survived by: his children, Donnie (Sam), Christina (Chad) and John; his grandson David VanArsdale (Marilyn); and his sisters-in-law, Helen Kirkendall (Richard), Colleen Kirkpatrick and Phyllis VanArsdale. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
