He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa VanLew, Sr. and Minnie VanLew (Smith); and his brother Kenneth VanLew. He is survived by: his wife Ellen VanLew (Payne); his children, Matthew (Elizabeth), Robert (Kimberly) and Debra Gillenwater (Paul); and his sister Charlou Mullin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the East Brandywine Baptist Church (999 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown, PA 19335). A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Skip's memory to East Brandywine Baptist Church (Building Fund).
