He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph and Martha Jane Mullen (Sugden); and his siblings, Charles Ambrose Mullen and Joan M. Valania. He is survived by: his children, William D. Mullen Jr. of Las Vegas, NV and Shannon Ann Mullen of San Diego, CA; his cousins, Martin Valania Jr., Brian Valania and Kelly Ann Chew; and his siblings-in-law, Martin Valania Sr. and Ann Rice Mullen.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Augustine Friary (214 Ashwood Rd, Villanova, PA 19085). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the St. Patrick's Cemetery of Norristown (2400 DeKalb St, Norristown, PA 19401).
