He was predeceased by : his siblings, K. C. Kraenzle, Michael McCarthy and Joseph McCarthy; and his parents, Frederick McCarthy and Catherine McCarthy.
He is survived by : his wife Stephanie Valocchi McCarthy; and his children, Cristin McCarthy Vahey (Brian), Karen McCarthy, Shannon Kearney (Peter), Justin McCarthy, Jr. (Margaret Leddy), John McCarthy (Erin McNulty) and Casey Poretta (Joseph). He is also survived by eight brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
