He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Moyer Shisler and Susanna Derstine Shisler; his son Kent Shisler; his grandson Joshua Wall; his siblings, Emily Lapp and Harold Shisler; and his stepmother Naomi S. Derstine Shisler (Beulah P. Shisler).
He is survived by: his wife Esther Shisler (Ruth); his children, Brenda L. Wall (Christopher) of Green Lane, Donna G. Speakman (William) of Harrisburg and Karl E. Shisler (Bernadette) of Guam; his daughter-in-law Audrey Shisler of Hanover; his sister Ruth Bunton of New Holland; his grandchildren, Diane Wall Flint, Adam Speakman, Sarah Schwartz, Leah Stone, Ryan Shisler and Isaiah Shisler; and his great grandchildren, Theodore, Liliana, Lukas Flint and Willow Schwartz.
