He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Lapp (Yoder); his parents, John Lapp and Edith Lapp (Nyce); his siblings, Samuel J. Lapp, John Lapp and Mary Swartley; and his sister-in-law Nancy Swartzentruber Lapp.
He is survived by: his children, Derwood D. Lapp (Cindy) of Hesston, KS and Julia R. Lapp Harris (Douglas) of Richmond, VA; and his siblings, James Lapp (Miriam Book) of Ephrata, PA, Joseph Lapp (Hanna) of Harrisonburg, VA, Sara Kolb (Noah) of Lansdale, Ruth Guengerich (Ron) of Goshen, IN and Rhoda Lapp of Stone Mountain, GA.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
