We are sad to announce that, on April 25, 2026, at the age of 87, Dennis U. Harken of Lansdale, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dennis U. Harken to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban Harken and Louise Harken (Wubbena); his brother Richard "Dick" Harken; his brother-in-law Charles "Tom" Brooks; and his nephew Scott Matthew Harken.

He is survived by: his wife Delores Wiedemeier; his sister Linda Brooks of Iowa; his sister-in-law Jan Harken of Iowa; his children, Sara McHoul (Jeffrey) of Lansdale, Jason Harken (Melissa) of Spring City, PA and Aaron Harken (Brigitte) of Collegeville, PA; and his grandchildren, Zachary McHoul, Joshua McHoul (Deirdre), Gretchen Harken, Emma McHoul, Erik Harken, Jakob Harken and Nick Harken.

One of the many organizations that Dr. Harken was instrumental in creating was the Special Needs Children's Foundation, an organization helping to fund special learning opportunities for children with special needs.
