He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Emerson and Mabel Emerson (Mugglin); and his brother Joseph Emerson. He is survived by: his wife Judith Ann Emerson (Munro); his siblings, David Emerson and Ruth Fenger; and his foster sons, Hay Kuong Ea, Hay Seng Ea and Peter Foldi.
