He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Benton and Elizabeth Benton (Thomas); and his brother Robert Benton. He is survived by: his daughter Linda Brooks (Michael); his sister Jane Brunker (Edward); his grandsons, Derek Brooks (Cari), Sean Brooks (Laura) and Wesley Brooks; and his great grandchild Harrison Brooks.
