He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Grasse (Stover); his parents, John M. Grasse, Sr. and Blanche Grasse (Landis); his sisters, Betty Alderfer and Evelyn Rosenberger; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Alderfer, Mark Rosenberger and Jay Detweiler.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Ann Grasse of San Diego, CA, Linda Sue Siemens (Rick) of Eagle Point, OR, Sandra Grasse McKeon (Tom) of Mcallen, TX, Martha Jane Young (Robert) of Rochester, MN and John Michael Aberle-Grasse (Melissa) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Ben, Scott, Emily, Oliver, Andrew, Matthew, Emma, Rebekah, Rae Ann, Elizabeth and Esther; his great grandchildren, Nathan, James, David, Matthew, Gwen, Fallon, Finneas and Jaxson; and his sister Ruth Detweiler of Telford, PA..
