She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Clarence Bates; and her parents, Robert L. Smith and Mary Smith (Heim). She is survived by: her children, Brenda McCabe (Owen) and Glenn Bates (Brooke); and her grandchildren, Owen McCabe III (Alicia), Kelsey McCabe, Shannon McCabe (Quy Le), Benjamin Bates and Zachary Bates. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
