He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Gildea and Joan Gildea (Welsh); his siblings, E. Vincent Gildea Jr. and Angela Gildea; and his stepson Robert Normile.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Gildea (Gottshalk); his daughter Veronica Gildea (James Mansfield); his stepdaughter Jennifer Thomas (Louis); his grandchildren, Bobby, Brayden, Madison, Louis, Shane and Ryan; and his siblings, Martin Gildea (Patricia), Meg Gildea, Rosemary McConnell, Michael Gildea (Davona), Jacqueline McGill (James), Jeanne Kampmeyer (John), Mary Silva (Alfredo) and John Gildea-Walker (William). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Spring Valley (400 W Woodland Ave, Springfield, PA 19064).
