He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Faye "Ginny" Shank; his mother Beatrice Shank (Rumbel); his son Mark L. Shank; and his brothers, Lavern and Lewis.
He is survived by: his father John Frank; his daughter Hetty J. Ball (Timothy) of Mountain Top, PA; his daughter-in-law Marjorie Shank of Lansdale; his grandchildren, Robert, Colleen Valentis (Colin) and Patrick; and his stepgrandchildren, Adam (Valerie Cordero) and Kelly (Ball).
