He is survived by: his wife Theresa "Teddy" Knauss (Skrapits); his children, Justine Gibble (Kurt) and David (Linda); his grandchildren, Kristin Galli (Steven), Brittany Knauss, Bradley Gibble and Ashley Knauss; his great grandchild Lily Galli; and his brother Harrison R. Knauss.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Lars' memory.
