With sadness, we share the passing of Peter F. Skrapits of Northampton, Pennsylvania. Peter, born on February 6, 1935, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Joan E. Skrapits (Daumer); his parents, Peter Skrapits and Anna M. Skrapits (Kish); and his sister Lydia Varkonyi. He is survived by: his son Peter J. Skrapits; his daughter-in-law Susan Skrapits; his granddaughter Abigail Skrapits; and his nephews, Jeffrey and Larry Varkonyi.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Reichel Funeral Home (326 E 21st St, Northampton, PA 18067). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Assumption BVM Church (2181 Washington Ave, Northampton, PA 18067). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery (1301 Newport Ave, Northampton, PA 18067).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the church in Peter's memory.
