He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Straup Deiter (Fritzinger); and his parents, Robert H., Sr. and Beatrice I. Deiter (Rettig). He is also survived by stepchildren and their families, sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
