She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Gary Paul Vogt; her daughter Amy Marie Vogt Green (Keith); her grandchildren, Ava Elisabeth Bondi, Henry James Bondi, Emily Ann Stofflet, Andrew Paul Green and Matthew Allen Green; her adoptive children, Bert and Ernie; her parents, James G. Wood and Marie A. Wood; her sister Linda Wood Picanza; her siblings-in-law, James V. Picanza, Jr., Amanda "Mimi" Vogt Starke (Barry) and June Star Rader; her nieces and nephews, Lisa Picanza Burkhead (Bob), Jeannette Picanza Sabatini (Chuck), James V. Picanza III, William Brett Starke, Summer Star Rader and Aspen Elizabeth Rader; and her daughter Rebecca "Becky" Wood Vogt (Greg).
Nancy also was a longtime supporter and volunteer for the American Heart Association and she was also a supporter of the Stone Harbor Fire Department.
