He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Aldous and Olive Marklend Aldous; and his grandson James Waters. He is survived by: his wife Alice McIntyre Aldous; his children, Brian Aldous, Valerie Waters (Garry), Jamee Miller (Duane), Joshua Aldous (Shannon Leahey) and April Aldous; his siblings, James Aldous, Mark Aldous (David Campbell), Mary Anne Wright (John), Jean Herron (Dan) and Lynn Aldous; and his grandchildren, Anthony Waters, Jennifer Tomaw (John), Andrew Waters, Joseph Waters, Sadie Miller and Bennett Miller. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
