He was predeceased by: his parents, Geneva Wilson Stribling and Tom Weston Stribling; and his brothers, Thomas Wesley Stribling, Bobby Joe Stribling, Boyd Lee Stribling and John Douglas Stribling.
He is survived by: his sister Jane Stribling Cox of Chapin, SC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
