He was predeceased by : his parents, Lillie M. Quarles and Hugh A. Quarles. He is survived by : his daughters, Janet L. Papp, Brenda Q. Cox and Amy Quarles; his grandchildren, Taylor Miller, Michael Cox, Rylee Miller and Lisa Bishop; his great grandchild Callie Singleton; and his sisters, Ruth Wates and Hazel Thomas.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church (1186 Mt Calvary Rd, Johnston, SC 29832).

It was said that Luke was an avid blood donor throughout the years, having donated over 25 gallons of blood for those in need.
