He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Allen and Theo Holland Johnson; his wife Sherry Dunham of Kenosha, Wisconsin.; and his siblings, Lucille Johnson Scruggs, Sammie Johnson Smith, Estelle Johnson, Henry Allen Johnson, J. C. Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Larry Johnson, Billy Wayne Johnson and Donald Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Johnson Crutchfield (Tom) of Humboldt, TN; his grandchildren, Jamie Taylor Sajecki of Brazil, Logan Wood of Carbondale and Sophie Lepinski of Humboldt, TN; and his sister Lola Mae Johnson Hopkins of Humboldt.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Medina Funeral Home (302 W Church Ave, Medina, TN 38355). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.
