It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stanley Ray Carter of Jackson, Tennessee, who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gould Carter and Jean Spells Carter; and his brother Gary Carter. He is survived by: his wife Mary Carter of Jackson; his daughter Chris Carter of Georgia; his siblings, Dianne Winberry (Kenny) of Cedar Grove and Randy Carter (Pam) of Jackson; his stepchildren, James Deady (Meredith) of Paris, France and Candy Tauzier (Scott) of Texas; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Godwin (Ryan), Brandon Weaver (Alina), Meghan Tauzier and Ari Deady; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ripley Weaver and Marley Weaver. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Because of his love of the outdoors, in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be directed to the Tennessee River Gorge Trust in memory of Mr. Carter.
