He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Andrew Vargo, Sr. and Julia Vargo; and his brother Louie "Shortie" Vargo. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Vargo of Jackson; his children, Steve Vargo (Julia) of Johnson City, Bryan Vargo of Jacksonville, Florida and Kathy Schwieterman (Erich) of St. Augustine, Florida; his sister Betty Bates of Texas; and his grandchildren, Charlie and Bennett.
