He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Willard Johnson, Sr. and Marguerite Lassiter Johnson; and his sister Helen Lucille Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Willis "Chip" Willard Johnson, III (Christy), Keith Johnson (Julie), Louie Johnson and Pamela Dickerson (Tony); his grandsons, Cameron, Keefer, Kevin, Addison and Brett; and his great grandchildren, Easton, Hudson, Konnor, Haylee, Willow and Hazel. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
