It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Daniel Fitzgerald of Milan, Tennessee, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John Daniel has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Fitzgerald and Mary Lois Phillips Fitzgerald; and his siblings, Dennis Fitzgerald and Patricia Knott. He is survived by: his wife Polly Miller Fitzgerald of Milan; his daughter Lori Camille Fitzgerald Burke (Jim) of Chattanooga; his brother Mike Fitzgerald of Milan; and his grandchildren, Larkin Cook (Adam Hubbard) and Graham Cook.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Medina Funeral Home (302 W Church Ave, Medina, TN 38355). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at the Double Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church (18 Double Springs Rd, Humboldt, TN 38343).
