He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa William "Dick" Jessen and Afton Barrett Jessen; and his siblings, William George "Bill" Jessen, Johnny Dean Jessen and Kathy Jean Bird.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Reay Jessen; his children, Deana (Robb Lindsay), Dixie (Richard William) of Spring Creek, Nevada, Jennifer (Clay Miles), Merlin Frank Jessen Jr., Kevin (Kristy Jessen), Misty (Garrett Taylor) and Austin (Lacie Jessen); his brother Robert Glen Jessen; Vickie. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Lake Fork/Moon Lake Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
