He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Gilger and Mildred Lowe Bauer Gilger; his children, Darlene Tina and Andrew; and his siblings, Freida Gilger (Talbot), Keith Bauer, Harry Bauer, Elaine Bauer, Norman Gilger, LoRay Gilger, Darwin Gilger, Clinton Gilger, Garth Gilger and Barbra Gilger Ashton.
He is survived by: his children, Basil John (Debbie) and Angelique (Jack Conger); and his sister-in-law Claudette. He is also survived by his wife, three children, nine grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson.
