He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Overkamp and Alice Overkamp; his grandson Elliott T. Dawson; his sisters, Dr. Corine Overkamp and Lois Overkamp; and his niece Linda C. Braen.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Overkamp; his children, Joanna Overkamp of Hurricane, Utah, Jill Dawson (Scott Dawson) of Mason, Ohio and John O'Donnell of Hurricane, Utah; his granddaughter Olivia Dawson of Woodbury, Minnesota; his sister Janet Braen (George); his nephew Joe Braen (Nancy); his great-niece Mary Braen; and his great-nephew Daniel Braen.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm of St. George, Utah.
