He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Grant Jacob Austad and Ora Verla Raty; his stepmother Barbara Laverne Pickett; his children, Matt Austad (Irma Martinez) of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Adam Austad (Wendi Gubler) of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Wayde Austad (Tana Barney) of Beaver, Utah, Heather Cannon (Gregory) of Central, Utah, Melissa Young (John) of Heber City, Utah, Zachary Austad of Saratoga Springs, Utah., Christine Chamberlain (Kent) of Springville, Utah, Tracy Fernelius (Silvia Fierro) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eric Fernelius (Mary Stevens) of Rexburg, Idaho, Rachel Chamberlain (Scott) of Aurora, Utah and Josh Fernelius (Bonnie King); and his sister Ruthie Austad Allred Witing of Glendale, California.. He was also cherished by 49 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren.
