Barbara Joan Hoyland Hammer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Joan Hoyland Hammer of Kaysville, Utah, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Barbara touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Hoyland and Evelyn Margaret Hoyland (Curren); her husband Keith Leland Hammer; and her children, Mark Hammer and Ellen Hammer Ferdon.
She is survived by: her children, John J. (Tara) and Mary M.; and her brothers, William H. Hoyland and James R. Hoyland. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Kaysville LDS Stake Center (200 S 600 E, Kaysville, UT 84037). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hurricane City Cemetery (255 600 N, Hurricane, UT 84737).
