He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley LeRoy Allen and Lillian Swenson Allen; his wife Eula Rulene Pendleton Allen; his son Joseph; and his grandsons, David Allen and Ryan Allen.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff Allen, Jan Sommer (late Robert), Jonathan (Utah), Jared (Jenny) and Jason (Marissa). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
