We announce the death of Claude Mathews of Roosevelt, Utah, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Mathews and Alice Winkler Mathews; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Brandan Mathews and Callie Jo Mathews.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Lee Mathews; his children, LeeAnna Bryson (Dan), Kerry Dee Mathews, Roosevelt, Dan Mathews (Joetta) and Sue (Steve); and his brother Phil Mathews (Jo). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Altamont Stake Center.
