He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Jones and LaVelle Freda Jorgensen Jones; his nephew Douglas Franklin; and his brothers-in-law, Owen Caldwell and Gordon Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Lou Franklin; his children, Cynthia Bruton (Tom) of Duchesne, Barton Jones (Julie) of Duchesne, Lorinda Jorgensen (Larry) of Kenai, Alaska, Gregory Jones (Annalese) of Kaysville, Teresa Mangan (James) of Cedar Hills and Melissa Ellis (Greg) of Orem; his sisters, Sherry Monsen (Don) of Vernal and Christine Stewart (Lee) of Vernal; and his siblings-in-law, Teddy Franklin (Phyllis) of Rangely, Colorado and Barbara Franklin of Trinidad, Colorado. He is also survived by his thirty-two grandchildren and forty-two great-grandchildren.
