It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cleve Barnes of Saint George, Utah, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Cleve may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cedric Barnes and Jeanette Barnes; his brother Ronald Barnes; and his son Jon Charles "Chuck" Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Meredith; and his children, Teresa Hurd (Terry) of St. George, Jill Spalding (Tom) of Payson and Gary Barnes (Dian) of Mayfield. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel (288 W St George Blvd, St. George, UT 84770). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at the Tonaquint Cemetery (1777 S Dixie Dr, St. George, UT 84770).
