He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Avery and Cassie Elnora Johnson Curtis; his son Dan Lee Curtis; and his siblings, Don Avery Curtis, Lenna Winn, Fern Gwen Shepard and Elnora Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Curtis; his children, Christine Sargent (Floyd), John Avery Curtis and Gloria Miller (Robert); and his siblings, Sid Curtis (Gwen) and Vonda Robins. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
