She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Christian and Edith Bacon Nordberg; and her former husband Warren Steffy. She is survived by: her husband Jay Blayne Barton; and her children, Robert Jay Barton (Debra), Jo-Lynn Barton So, Kaye Clemmons (Sam), Robyn Boren (late Ken) and DaNell Barton. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, with one more great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Metcalf Bonzo Mortuary (288 W St George Blvd, St. George, UT 84770). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. George City Cemetery (650 E Tabernacle St, St. George, UT 84770).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Evelyn's memory to make a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
