Kat Gamarra wrote a sympathy message

“It was painful to learn of Heidi's death. Hale has always joked that his office staff is his work family, but the truth is that he has always treated us all as family, and in turn we considered Heidi to be our family as well. I saw the way that Heidi brought joy to Hale every time they were together and it was obvious to all what a special, awesome person she was. I would like to extend my deepest and most sincere sympathies to you and your family at this time. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. “I haven't stopped crying for days. My sister was the best person I ever knew. I always felt she was a spiritual and moral giant trapped in a physical body barely able to contain her greatness. Hard to imagine my sister unshackled and free, but I know she's got my back now, and I know she's got great clout because of the life of dignity and grace she led.. I love you Heidi and know we will meet soon and laugh our heads off together again like we do every time we are together. Love you sis.”

Hugh Crethar wrote a sympathy message

“Anyone who ever met Heidi was the better for being in her presence. Heidi was energetic, warm, and giving woman who was always anxiously engaged in activities and service. I learned more about what matters in life from her than pretty much anyone else I know. I dearly loved my big sister and will miss her laugh, her stories, and further opportunities to tease her and make her smile. I love you, Heidi.”

Karen Hawbecker wrote a sympathy message

“This is a wonderful photo of Hale and Heidi together during one of his recent visits to see her. Hale and Heidi have a special bond that they have shared through out their lives. Heidi was Hale’s big sister. As a child, Hale would physically fight to protect Heidi. As an adult, he was called upon to protect her in court room settings. I mourn the loss of this special relationship Hale has with Heidi, even for the temporary time they will be apart until we all go back to the Creator who made us.”
