He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Abernathy and Betty Abernathy; and his son Yale Andrus Abernathy. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Marie Jensen "JJ" Abernathy of Green Valley; his son Matthew; his daughter-in-law Janella Abernathy of Spanish Fork; his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Monica Abernathy of Austin, Texas; his daughter Holly; his son-in-law Joseph Infante of Layton, Utah; his sister Karen Berry of Camarillo, California; his half-brother Donald Walter Abernathy of Wooster, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Celine, Chanel, Yale, India, Justin, Joshua, Emmanuelle, Christine, Joseph Israel and Elijah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
In Patrick's memory, the family invites donations to FamilySearch, a nonprofit family history organization dedicated to connecting families across generations through record and document preservation and digitization.
