She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Erlien and Jennie Erlien; her brothers, Stan, Bob and Joe Erlien; her husband James Robert Phillips Jr.; and her mother-in-law Cora Phillips.
She is survived by: her children, Kristopher Phillips (Carol) and Kari Herzog (Tim); her daughter-in-law Carol; her close friend Claire Hayes; her daughter Cathy; and her son-in-law Dan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
At the age of 90, she faced Stage 4 small cell lung cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic with the same strength and determination that had defined her entire life.
