He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burns and Lucille Burns; and his brothers, Terry and Tom. He is survived by: his siblings, Roxanne, Dan of Delaware and Pat of Delaware; and his friend Melissa Oberlander.

“Chris was more than a great neighbor to me, he was a great friend as well. Chris showed me how to sharpen chainsaws, fix tractors, use drills properly and build things. Chris helped build a shed for me, that I now use as a Santa house for the kids every year. He would often come over on ‘Big Red’ his quad- hand me an iced tea and take me for a ride in his trails to the pond. I plan to build a tree fort for my grandkids as a memorial to Chris and his late brother Terry. “Fort Burns” with Love”
