It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arleen Potratz of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Nitschke and Edna Nitschke; her husband Carl "Duke" Potratz of John's Lutheran Church; her siblings, Dorothy Achterberg and Donald Nitschke; her siblings-in-law, Betty, Jan Nitschke and Ivan Achterberg; her nephews, Gary and Tom Achterberg; her parents-in-law, Albert and Anna Potratz; and her siblings-in-law, Lawrence Potratz (Mildred), Gilbert Potratz (Alice), Elda Strey (Art), Margaret Ahlswede (Harvey), Ruth Tessendorf (Ray) and Edna Potratz.
She is survived by: her brother Roger Nitschke; her children, Snow White of Oshkosh, Debra Cushman (Michael) of Oshkosh, Calvin (Theresa) of Oshkosh, Warren (Janice) of Oshkosh, Glenn (Pauline) of Oshkosh, Russell (Wendy) of Oshkosh, Jeffrey (Susan) of Oshkosh, Gregory (Amanda) of Oshkosh and Stanley (Chris) of Boscobel, WI.; and her grandchildren, Christopher Potratz (Brittany) of Chillicothe, OH, Daniel Potratz (Amanda) of Stoughton, WI, Amy Koch of Dousman, WI, Allyson Rennebohm (Kelly) of New Berlin, WI, Bryan Potratz (Deyv), Zak Potratz (Kate) of Minneapolis, MN, Christine Cushman (Lee Nichols) of Oshkosh, Michael (Ann) of Oshkosh, Jennifer of Oshkosh, Alexander of Oshkosh, Madisen of Oshkosh, Joseph of Oshkosh, Elizabeth of Oshkosh, Abigail of Oshkosh, Caitlyn of Oshkosh, Benjamin Potratz of Oshkosh, Sammy Hernandez of La Crosse, WI and Michele Chacon of Racine, WI.
